Galapagos Islands
GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES
The Galapagos Islands consist of 13 individual islands and are located in the Pacific Ocean and about 1,000 km away from Ecuador. On the islands live about 25,000 inhabitants spread over a total area of about 8.010 km2. The capital Puerto Baquerizo Moreno is located on the island of San Cristóbal. A journey to the Galapagos Islands is connected with an intermediate stop in Ecuador's capital Quito or Guayaquil. From there you have the possibility to travel to the Galapagos Islands every day.
